EGG AND SPERM DONATION SERVICES

General Consultations

~understanding the law before you proceed~

We provide general legal consultations to both prospective parents and prospective donors, covering the current law and practices regarding egg and sperm donation.

Working Together:  Intended Parents & Donors

~coming to terms and negotiating a written contract~

We regularly draft, review, and negotiate contracts between intended parents and donors.   We have extensive experience representing both   intended parents and donors.

~~ As lawyers, we do not ourselves recruit or screen donors, but work with multiple entities throughout the country that do so ~~

Working With Egg Donation Brokers & Agencies

~understanding and negotiating your contract with your broker or agency~

On behalf of prospective parents, we review contracts with professional recruiters, brokers, and agencies; advise clients of the rights and obligations such contracts create; and negotiate appropriate revisions to minimize risks and protect clients' interests.

We represent donor egg agencies, in collaboration with local counsel in the state where the agency is located. We represent national and regional donor egg agencies throughout the Country, assisting with program design as well as drafting and reviewing contractual documents on our clients' behalf.

Insurance Coverage

~understanding the financial risks and seeking a guarantee of coverage~

We review insurance policies to assess coverage for egg donation expenses and advocate for coverage through appeals of denials of coverage or other venues where appropriate.

Non-Traditional Families – Securing Legal Parentage

~taking the steps necessary for legal parentage~

We advise and represent non-traditional families, including same-sex and unmarried couples, as well as single intended parents, in connection with sperm or egg donation arrangements to help secure their families through co-parent adoptions or other court proceedings, including obtaining orders of maternity and parentage where available.
